Surprise

Hostage -Part Eighteen-I sat silently at my desk, listing the scientific names of any flowers I could think of, just so I wouldn’t be able to think about Eric. By the time my psychology class started, I was starting to see nothing but flowers. Luckily, I managed to get through the class without any other problems arising, though I was questioned a time or two as to my absence, of which I answered the same way. “I took a short vacation to relieve a little stress.” In actuality, the only stress I had been going through before I had been taken was the occasional feeling of being watched, which made a lot of sense now that I was safely back in tHostage -Part Eighteen-

Hostage -Part Seventeen-I finished the piece without a flaw and managed a sigh of relief as I lowered the bow and slowly opened my eyes again. I felt calm for the short time it took me to replace my violin in its case with the bow and seat myself at the picnic table facing the entrance to the gardens rather than the three paths going deeper inside. After a couple of minutes of silence, I heard rustling behind me. It took quite an effort on my part not to groan in irritation once I saw Dorian James round the table with a piece of the Bleeding Heart vine in his hand. The arrogant smirk he usually wore on his lips was gone while he studied the bloom in his hand.Hostage -Part Seventeen-

Hostage -Part Sixteen-I left Travis in the Infirmary before quickly going to the soundproofed rooms set up for music majors. I was shocked to find that I had still made it there a few minutes early despite my delay with Travis. I set my violin case on the piano bench and popped the locks at either side of the handle. I caught myself hoping this activity would keep my head clear and as far away from Eric as I could manage to get.Hostage -Part Sixteen-
I opened the case and carefully removed the antique violin. It had been passed through my family on my mother’s side, so it had been one of the instruments my parents had forced me to play when I had been younger. According to

Hostage -Part Thirteen-I folded the note and meant to tear it in half, but my hands wouldn’t do it. I couldn’t destroy it. Instead of lingering on the thought, I moved to my feet and went down the hall from the front entrance and passed the stairs on my left until I reached the third door. I stopped for a second and hesitated before I opened it. Memories flowed through my head like a film, but I took a deep breath to stop it before walking into the study. I hadn’t changed it when I had moved back, so it looked the same as it had when I was a child. The mahogany desk faced the door, sitting on top of an antique rug. A bookcase packed with the booksHostage -Part Thirteen-

Hostage -Part Fourteen-I went to bed early that night without bothering to make dinner. I had lost my appetite several times over and I hadn’t been up to cooking and taking the risk that I wouldn’t burn the house down for my attempts either. I awoke to my alarm clock blaring in my ear, telling me that it was seven in the morning. I truly despised that clock…Hostage -Part Fourteen-
I tried to calmly press the button to turn it off, but my head was firmly kept under one of my pillows while the rest of my body was lying comfortably beneath the thick, black comforter. The position didn’t exactly allow one to see the button that was practically hidden on the ana

Hostage -Part Fifteen-I watched him leave the yard before I closed my front door and walked into the kitchen to make my breakfast. I didn’t pay any attention to the food, however. I couldn’t really focus on anything but my thoughts. Why had Eric’s boss come to see me? What had he meant by it not being healthy for Eric to stay away? I was even more confused than I had been throughout this escapade!Hostage -Part Fifteen-
I ate quickly and ran upstairs to wrap my arms, which didn’t take very long. Once that was done, I went into my bedroom and grabbed my bag with my school books from beside the desk and my violin case from where it sat on the trunk. I would

Hostage -Part Twelve-Eric placed another kiss on my freckled cheek and lingered as if he didn’t want to leave me, but he forced himself to pull away and reach into his pockets. He seemed to be searching for something. After a moment, he pulled a piece of folded paper out and placed it in my free hand. He quickly pocketed his hands again to keep himself from touching me. He was quick to turn his back to me after that and walk to the door, but he paused with his hand on the knob. “When you get free, run back to your home as quickly as you’re able and don’t stop. I will distract your tante and oncle. That note will explain the rest.” HeHostage -Part Twelve-

Hostage -Part Eleven-Everything was so sore… My head was spinning and the newly bandaged injury in my side from the bullet was throbbing as if it had only just been put there. I couldn’t remember falling asleep… The last thing I remembered even the slightest bit of was walking down the hall of the hospital…Hostage -Part Eleven-
I tried to sit up only to find that I was already upright. Why was I upright…? I was leaning forward slightly, too. This was starting to become reminiscent of that first time, but I could wriggle my fingers and move everything except my arms. My wrists had only been restrained with… I thought they were leather belts a

Cassi's CaptorThe dark haired girl peered around the largeness of the shopping mall she stood in. Crowds of people shoved by almost resulting to the poor girl losing her glasses. Dammit she mumbled to herself as she pushed them up her nose with her index finger. This must have been the fifth time shed gotten separated from a crowd of friends, all thanks to her daydreaming. She huffed out loudly to herself and decided maybe it was best to just go home.Cassi's Captor
Are you lost, my dear? A soft grip of a hand was pressed around the back of her neck making the girl flinch from the icy coldness. Being touched in such an ar
